Saver, Smart or Plus Fare

If you booked a Saver, Smart or Plus fare, it is non-refundable. The only exceptions are if your flight to and from the US is...

a) Cancelled within 24 hours of booking, and

b) Booked a week or more before your flight.

The refund administration fee is per one-way flight. The Refund Administration Fee does not apply to reservations originating in the United States or Canada.

Advantage, Flex or Business Flex

You booked an Advantage, Flex or Business Flex fare Full refund If you cancel before your flight departure time If the guest has upgraded their original booking, only the difference in fare is eligible for Refund.

Business Fare

If you have booked a Business Fare, a fully refundable flight refund administration fee of EUR 20 per person per way not applicable for bookings originating in the US or Canada.

In other cases, in the unfortunate event of the death of your immediate family member, you will receive a full refund by presenting a copy of the death certificate prior to travel. If it is after your travel (in the case of a return flight), you can change your return flight free of charge for up to 45 days when you present a copy of your death certificate. Immediate family members include: spouse, children, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and father/mother/sister/brother/son/daughter-in-law. If you would like to cancel your reservation and request a refund.

  If the new fare is lower than the original fare, no refund will be given.
  Changes are only allowed from the same country of origin and up to 2 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  Travel must be completed within one year of the original purchase date.
• Advantage Fare Or AerSpace Fare
  There is no itinerary change fee.
  Changes can only be made from the same country of origin 2 hours before departure time.
  The missed departure fee is waived only for changes made at the check-in counter on the day of departure.
  Travel must be completed within one year of the original purchase date.
• If you are changing your transatlantic booking and have purchased:

• Save/Smart Fare
  Changes can be made online for €100/£85/$150 per person per flight, plus any difference in fees.
  If the new fare is lower than the original fare, no refund will be given.
  Change of route is only allowed from the same country of origin.
  Changes to EL AL flight reservations (including connecting flights in Ireland) between the UK/Continental Europe and North America will incur a combination of the above change fees.
  Changes can only be made from the same country of origin 2 hours before departure time.

Travel must be completed within one year of the original purchase date.

Cancellation of individual segments of a round-trip or connecting fare is considered a change and is subject to any applicable fare differences.

• Flexible Fare
  There is no change fee.
  Re-routing from the same country of origin is only possible 2 hours before departure time.
  Travel must be completed within one year of the original purchase date.
  Cancellation of individual segments of a round-trip or connecting fare is considered a change and is subject to any applicable fare differences.
• Business Fare
  Change of route is only allowed from the same country of origin.
  If the new fare is lower than the original fare, no refund will be given.
  Changes can only be made from the same country of origin 2 hours before departure time.
  Travel must be completed within one year of the original purchase date.
  Cancellation of individual segments of a round-trip or connecting fare is considered a change and is subject to any applicable fare differences.          
• Business Flexible Fare
  EL AL change flight UK/Continental Europe and North America, including connecting flights in Ireland, will be charged a combination of the above change fees.
  Changes can only be made from the same country of origin 2 hours before departure time.
  Travel must be completed within one year of the original purchase date.
  Cancellation of individual segments of a round-trip or connecting fare is considered a change and is subject to any applicable fare differences.
• If you wish to change the destination, date, or time of your flight, you can do so via the Manage Travel EL AL airlines website.

Is It Possible To Transfer Your El Al Airlines Flight To Someone Else?

Yes! The fee for changing the name of €100/£80/$157 per person and can be changed up to 2 hours before your journey. Name changes are required on all EL AL airlines check-in flights in the itinerary. Name changes are not permitted for bookings on airlines other than EL AL baggage size in the itinerary.
