EL AL Airlines Cancellation Policy

All EL AL flights can be changed but not canceled. If you are unable to travel, you can still use the return flight without notifying EL AL flight.

Note: If you do not travel on the flight you booked, air tickets, fees and charges will not be refunded, but you can request a refund of government taxes. Government tax rebates are subject to administration fees. If the refund amount is less than the applicable administration fee, no refund will be given.

 Can I get a refund for an EL AL flight?

Once an EL AL Israel Airlines is operational and the delay does not exceed 2 hours, no refunds will be issued.

Can I change my EL AL flight?

Yes, you can. You can change your flight date or route up to 2.5 hours before your scheduled flight departure. Fees apply for changes; these fees are per one-way flight/per person and vary by season.

How do I change my EL AL flight?

Make most changes online, My Booking, or contact ELAL Flight Reservations Centre.

The following changes cannot:

• When a domestic flight is changed to an international flight and vice versa
             
• Only partially changed to a flight (change airport)
             
• Where the Spanish Resident Allowance has been applied for
             
• Where you have applied for the Spanish extended family subsidy

Customers who book flights directly on the El Al Airlines official website have a 48-hour grace period from the initial booking to correct any minor errors (i.e. incorrect route/date/time) free of charge.

Minor corrections For minor corrections to your flight you will need to contact the center via their live chat service

1. EL AL Cancellation Policy will waive flight change fees if you change the date, time or route of your flight.
              
2. However, you will need to pay the difference between the original fare and the minimum total price for the new flight.
              
3. Please note that no refunds will be given if the new flight has a lower fare/fee.

Can I change the name on my El Al Airline booking?

If you are unable to use your El Al plane and just want an El Al refund, you can change the name on the ticket to another passenger's name and sell your own ticket. You may not get all of what you paid back, but even if you got half of what you paid back, that's better than losing everything!

If you wish to change your name completely at the time of booking, you can on the change flight within two hours pay €/£115, or /£160 after booking/at the airport.

 How do I change my name on my EL AL flight?

Step 1: Click Manage My Booking and then Manage Your Trip.

Step 2: Select the "Change Name" option and select the passenger name you want to change and enter the new passenger name in the relevant field.

Step 3: Once you accept this change, you will be taken back to the event booking page. At the top of the page, you'll see the following: "You have made changes to your itinerary and you need to check out to confirm."

Step 4: Select "Checkout" and enter your payment details, then click "Pay Now" ".

You will receive an updated email itinerary with the updated name change.

 If your name change is a slight correction of a misspelling, please follow the guidelines below.

Minor name corrections can be made online by following these steps:

Step 1: Retrieve your booking, using the booking reference number and the email address used for the booking.

Step 2: Select Manage Booking.

Step 3: If you want to correct a small error in your name, we will do it for free. Full name changes will still incur a name change fee.

 What should I do if I miss my EL AL flight?

EL AL boarding pass to board another flight 100 EUR/GBP. This option is only available less than 40 minutes before flight departure and 1 hour after departure. This also applies to customers who arrive at the ticket office within an hour of their flight to transfer to the next available flight. This fee is charged per passenger per flight segment.
